Translation


Messenger RNA is translated at ribosomes. Figures 3.9-3.12 illustrate this process. A special type of RNA known at tRNA recognizes amino acids and brings them to the ribosome. The tRNA matches up its own sequence of 3 bases to the codon in the messenger RNA.
